A. Accept a Second Call

This function allows the user to answer another call while still on the line with the original call.
Accept 2nd Call
 

B. Answer Calls

Just pickup the handset, or hit the Access 1 key to answer incoming calls.
 

C. Callback / Watchdog (part of the enhanced package)

Be alerted when a busy on-campus line becomes available. When called extension is available, the system will ring your extension (eight seconds of fast ringing).
Press: 6 and replace handset
 

D. Caller ID (plus, and enhanced packages only)

See the number of the person calling you on your display.
 

E. Call Forwarding (on Campus)

I. Standard Package

Calls will divert to a chosen answer-point.
Activate from your extension * 2 * New Ext. #

II. Enhanced and Plus Package

Same features as the standard package, plus you can forward your calls to your voice mail automatically.

F. Call Forwarding (off campus, enhanced package only)

Divert calls from your room phone to a cell phone or other phone off campus. Long distance call forwarding requires an OSU long distance code.

G. Call Waiting

Be notified when another call is coming in even if you are on the phone with someone else. Accept 2nd call must be activated for this feature to work.
 

H. Call Waiting ID (plus, and enhanced packages only)

See the number of the person calling you if you are on the phone with someone else, or before you answer the phone.
 

I. Do Not Disturb (enhanced package only)

Set your phone not to ring during specific times of the day or night.

J. Inquiry

Allows you to call an additional party while you have one already on the line.
To Activate: Press Inquiry, and call next party
Alternate Between Calls: Press Access, or Inquiry
Return to First Party Press Access, or C
 

K. Lamp Indications

L. Last Number Redial

Automatic redial of last external number.

Ordinary Calls, press 8 + dial number

U. Voice Mail (plus, and enhanced package only)

Receive messages from callers if you are away or on the other line.

  • Receive /Save messages
  • Personalized greeting
  • Personalized password for each user
  • Retrieve messages from on or off campus telephones
  • From off campus dial 744-MAIL (744-6245)

Specific Instructions

To enter the InfoMail Voice Mail System from your campus telephone:
  • Internal Number: 46245
  • Enter PASSWORD (password number is the same as extension number until changed by user).
  • Enter MAILBOX NUMBER (mailbox number is the same as extension number) then press #.

To enter the InfoMail Voice Mail System from any other digital telephone on campus:
  • Internal Number: 46245
  • Enter PASSWORD (password number is the same as extension number until changed by user).
  • Enter MAILBOX NUMBER (mailbox number is the same as extension number) then press #.

To enter the InfoMail Voice Mail System from outside the campus system:
  • External Number: 744-6245
  • From a touch-tone telephone only:
  • EnterPASSWORD (password number is the same as extension number until changed by user).
  • MAILBOX NUMBER (mailbox number is the same as extension number) then press #. Note: Any time you make a mistake entering digits, you may press the * key to cancel your last entry (i.e. entry of wrong Password).

V. Volume Control

Adjust the speaker volume during calls by pressing the – and + keys.
 
Adjust the tone ringer volume when the phone is idle or ringing by pressing the – and + keys.
